Found in the sea water of Indonesia, India, Arabia, China, Japan, Philippines, and various other locations, the Bambooshark is a sluggish sea creature eating the small fishes, crustaceans, and different other small sea animals.

Being lazy by its nature the Bamboosharks do not go after any big animal for hunting any sea creature for the sake of foods. Bearing several brown bands over entire parts of its body the Bambooshark losses them with the passage of time.

There are different species of Bamboosharks including Brown banded Bambooshark, the Grey Bambooshark, and the White spotted Bambooshark.

The Bamboosharks are described as the nocturnal, for they become too active in accomplishing all kinds of works including hunting and mating by going deep into the sea ground during the night hours. The Bamboosharks consume crabs, shrimps and small fishes by smashing them with their sharp teeth.

During the day it comes over the sea surface and remain to a greater extent dormant by its activities. The Bamboosharks do not cause any harm to the humans even at sight and coming much closer to them in the sea.
