The Hammerhead sharks are known because if their's hammer-like head. There are nine detected species of Hammerhead sharks out of which three have been found too crucial because of their either being dangerous or Vulnerableto a minor attack.

Three species being recognized for their dangerous nature are Scalloped, Great, and Smooth Hammerhead sharks. Where on the one hand the Great and the Scalloped Hammerhead sharks are listed as the extincting ones, the report of World Conservation Union(IUCN) 2008, reveal the Great and Smooth Hammerhead sharks as the vulnerable Hammerhead sharks.

Hammerhead sharks prefer to dwell in the warm water of ocean. During the day hours they seen in a group, but after the sunset they scatter away and accomplish all the works independently like searching the foods and feeding upon them.

Hammerhead sharks have an exceptional sensory perception of the electrical signal as well by which they not only manage to fathom the approaching foe, but nab their prey as well with a greater efficiency.

Female Hammerhead shark passes through 12 months of gestation period in delivering its 20 to 40 pups or new Hammerhead sharks at a time. Hammerhead sharks are considered to be too powerful in being inquisitive and exploring the desired thing they long for.
